FAQ
Those little Demo Mirror music players won’t work in my browser. Why?
As Gary Numan once said, “We have a technical.” I try to make sure this site is viewable on different browsers, but I’m by no means a web guru, so hopefully these simple fixes will help you.
IE users should be able to view this site. Make sure your Flash player is up-to date. Check that your Java is enabled: Tools>Internet Options>Advanced.
Firefox users should be able to view this site. Make sure your Flash player is up-to-date, and go to Tools>Add-ons and make sure your Flash/Shockwave player is not blocked or disabled.
How do I subscribe to Demo Mirror as a podcast or RSS?
Subscription to Demo Mirror is free. Each episode is podcast/RSS friendly (we hope) - when you subscribe, the new episode is downloaded automatically for you to your iTunes/feed/whatever, so you can listen any time and stay updated. You can find Demo Mirror on iTunes. Also, here is the raw feed link, for you RSS-erz: http://demomirror.com/?feed=rss2
I want to listen on my phone, but I can’t for such-and-such a reason… can you help?
Phones can do so much these days, but they don’t all seem to have the knack for Flash content, which is an intergral part of checking out the stuff on this site. Soon your phone will have Flash capabilities and you’ll be able to come to the site on your phone and stream episodes. I’m just waiting it out. Until this issue resolves itself, the best thing to do is to subscribe via iTunes, and download the Demo Mirror podcasts. Then you can put them on your phone to enjoy whenever you like.
I know who you are, but who are you really?
My name is Matt Jatkola. I live in Arlington, MA. I write & demo a song every day. I play guitar and sing in The Bynars. I like listening to other people’s demos; I find them endlessly fascinating. I’m allergic to dogs, but I want a Vizsla.
