I went over to Jared Creighton’s apartment recently and spoke with him about a demo he gave me called “My Baby Left Me.”  We discussed the song’s mysterious origin, how he and bandmate Jeff DeCaro recorded the song, and why picking ideas from a hat is a good songwriting technique.  Jared lives in Somerville, MA, and is currently in a rock group called Springsteen Soda Stream (also known as The Musikill Disastronauts) and a rap group called Crusty Sizzle & Sammy Fresh.
